Websites for salons, barbers and beauty studios.

For hair, nail, wax, brow, and barber businesses, the website has one main job: help a new client feel confident enough to book. Clear services, honest starting prices, the right person to see, and a booking button that works.

People choosing a salon or barber usually compare a few options before they book. They look at your work, check what a service costs and how long it takes, and want to know who will be doing it. If any of that is hard to find, they move on to the next listing.

Ballona Digital builds sites for Westside hair salons, barbershops, nail salons, wax and brow studios, lash and skin studios, and similar beauty businesses in neighborhoods like Culver City, Mar Vista, Playa Vista, and Westchester.

What a salon or barbershop website needs

  • A booking button that connects to your current system. If you book through a service such as Square Appointments, Vagaro, Boulevard, GlossGenius, Fresha, or Booksy, every Book button on the site goes straight there. Walk-in friendly shops can show walk-in hours instead.
  • A service menu with starting prices and times. List services the way clients think about them (cuts, color, nails, waxing) with a starting price and rough duration. "Starting at" pricing is fine; it saves you a lot of "how much is…" messages.
  • A page or section for each stylist, barber, or artist. Name, photo, specialties, and a direct booking link if your system supports it. Clients often follow a person, not just a salon.
  • Photos of real work. Recent cuts, color, nails, or brows, shared with the client's permission. Real work beats stock photos every time.
  • Policies in plain language. Cancellation and late policies, deposits, consultation requirements for color, and anything clients should know before a first visit.

What your Google Business Profile needs

  • The most specific category that fits (Hair salon, Barber shop, Nail salon, Waxing hair removal service, and so on).
  • A booking link to your scheduling system, so the listing can send people straight to booking.
  • Services listed on the profile, matching the names and prices on your site.
  • Fresh photos of the space and recent work, added regularly.
  • Hours that reflect appointment-only or walk-in times accurately, plus holiday hours.

Licensing

Barbers, cosmetologists, manicurists, and estheticians in California are licensed by the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. If you want to show license details on your site, that is easy to add; I will use whatever you provide and not invent credentials.

Marlowe Studio is a fictional Culver City hair studio used to show the approach: a service menu with starting prices, short bios for each stylist, and booking buttons placed where people look for them. It is a sample design on a Starter plan layout, not a client.

All sample sites are demo designs for fictional businesses, made to show the style and range of the studio. They are not client projects. See all sample sites.

FAQ · Salons, barbers & beauty

Common questions.

Can my website connect to the booking app I already use?

Yes. The site links to your existing booking page, so appointments, reminders, and payments keep running through the same system.

Should I list prices on my salon website?

Most clients appreciate at least a starting price for each service. You can keep it to "from" prices and note that final pricing depends on hair length or consultation.

Can each stylist have their own page?

Yes. On a one-page site each stylist gets a short section; on a multi-page site each can have a full page with their work and a direct booking link.

Do you work with nail, wax, and brow studios, or only hair salons?

All of them. The same basics apply: a clear service menu, real photos, simple policies, and an easy way to book.

What does the free homepage mockup include?

A custom homepage design for your business (layout, messaging, and visual direction) in 3-5 days. If you don't like it, there are no strings attached and nothing to pay.
