Websites for dental and medical offices.
New patients want to know three things before they request a visit: do you take my insurance, are you taking new patients, and what will the first visit be like. A good practice website answers those clearly and calmly.
Choosing a dentist, chiropractor, physical therapist, optometrist, or other practitioner is personal, and people are often a little anxious about it. The website should feel clear and reassuring, and make the next step obvious, whether that is calling, requesting an appointment, or booking through your practice's system.
Ballona Digital builds sites for dental and medical offices across the Westside, including Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, Westchester, and El Segundo.
What a dental or medical office website needs
- Insurance information that is easy to find. Which plans you are in network with, whether you see out-of-network or self-pay patients, and a note encouraging patients to confirm coverage with you. Kept current, because outdated insurance lists frustrate people.
- New-patient information. Whether you are accepting new patients, what to bring, how long the first visit takes, and where to find intake forms if your practice uses them.
- Accessibility, on the page and in person. Readable text sizes, good contrast, descriptive image text, and forms that work with a keyboard and screen reader. Also practical details like parking, elevator or step-free access, and languages spoken.
- Appointment request forms that don't collect health information. A simple website form should ask only for contact details, a general reason for the visit, and a preferred time. Symptoms, medical history, and insurance ID numbers belong in your practice's secure patient systems, not a website contact form. If you use an online scheduling or patient portal, the site links to it.
- Services and the people behind them. Plain-language service pages and provider bios with real credentials that you supply. Nothing invented or embellished.
What your Google Business Profile needs
- The most specific category (Dentist, Pediatric dentist, Chiropractor, Physical therapist, and so on).
- Accurate hours, including evenings or Saturdays if you offer them, and holiday closures.
- An appointment link pointing to your booking page or appointment request page.
- Accessibility attributes such as wheelchair-accessible entrance, where they apply.
- Review replies that are kind and general and never confirm that the reviewer is a patient or discuss their care.

A note on privacy
Health privacy rules such as HIPAA are your practice's responsibility, and I'm not a compliance advisor. What I do is design the website so it does not ask patients for health details in the first place, and link to the secure systems you already use. If you have a compliance contact, I'm glad to follow their guidance.
Sample design

Bluff Dental is a fictional family dental office used to show the approach: an in-network insurance list, a step-by-step new-patient section, parking and accessibility notes, and an appointment request form that asks only for name, email, a reason category, and a preferred time. It is a sample design on a Business plan layout, not a client.
All sample sites are demo designs for fictional businesses, made to show the style and range of the studio. They are not client projects. See all sample sites.

FAQ · Dental & medical offices
Common questions.
Can the website form collect patient health information?
I design website forms to avoid it. They ask for contact details, a general reason for the visit, and a preferred time. Anything clinical should go through your practice's secure patient systems.
Can you list the insurance plans we accept?
Yes. You provide the list, and I present it clearly with a note asking patients to confirm coverage. When plans change, you email the update.
Do you build sites for medical offices other than dentists?
Yes. Chiropractors, physical therapists, optometrists, and similar small practices need the same basics: insurance and new-patient info, accessible pages, and a simple way to request a visit.
Can the site link to our online scheduling or patient portal?
Yes. If you already use online scheduling or a patient portal, the site links to it with clear buttons, so nothing about your workflow has to change.
What does the free homepage mockup include?
A custom homepage design for your business (layout, messaging, and visual direction) in 3-5 days. If you don't like it, there are no strings attached and nothing to pay.
